Who is Leifish?

Who am I?  What am I doing?  Blogging? Ok, well letʻs give this a try...

Fresh out of stumbling through my six year college career, here I am starting a blog with nothing planned, and no clear intentions of what Iʻm doing!  Why?  Who knows!  Since today is my day off from work, Iʻve been on Pinterest all day and letʻs just say that Iʻve been inspired to start a blog.  

Iʻll start off with introducing myself.  My name is Lei and I am 24 years old.  Originally from the Hawaiʻi, I now currently reside on Oʻahu with my boyfriend.  I recently just graduated college (May 11th) with a degree that Iʻm not sure what Iʻm gonna do with.  I have one pet, a sucker fish named Darwin.  His name is Darwin because he lived in a bucket for a year, SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST!!!  Yes, I know thatʻs cruel, but ʻtis the life of a (broke) college student.  He has been upgraded (courtesy of the ever-thoughtful boyfriend) to a ten-gallon fish tank!  Anywho, I am a logical, normally happy, multi-tasker.  I consider few people as my friends, just because I am wary of certain personalities.  I am a true aquarian so that may be to blame for my wariness (aquarians have lots of acquaintances but few real friends).

Hobbies?  I like to sleep.  Honestly.  That may not be a sufficient answer for some but hey its my blog Iʻll do what I want!  Being from Hawaiʻi I should say that I like going to the beach, which is true, I do like going to the beach, but sadly, I rarely make it there.  Ever.  I do like night swimming though, thatʻs always fun!  Reading is another hobby, when I have the time.


I suppose Iʻll list 20 random facts about myself then, and hopefully I can come up with 20..

1.  I am the youngest of 7 kids.  Yes, SEVEN!

2.  Iʻve been swimming competitively since age 4 up to my second year in college when I was 19.

3.  I secretly think Iʻm turning into my mother! I love a spotless kitchen sink, and a clean house.

4.  I love to cook and have considered going into culinary school.

5.  Iʻm terrible at meal planning, and I blame my ʻwanting to do everything at onceʻ mentality.

6.  Iʻm tall (5ʻ9") and I feel like a giant when I wear heels and Iʻm convinced that all my friends are midgets.

7.  My best friend lives in another state.

8.  Iʻve secretly been planning my wedding since Iʻve met my bf.  Shhh!!

9.  I have a go-to karaoke list saved in my phone.

10.  I used to have huge beaver-like front teeth when I was younger, which I thankfully grew into.

11.  I have recently discovered eggs benedict and am sad that I didnʻt bother trying it all this time!

12.  My last meal would be japanese curry from Miyoʻs restaurant.

13.  I usually wake up in the morning with a random song in my head that I havenʻt heard lately.

14.  I wish I could afford to buy all the clothes and shoes my heart desires, maybe then Iʻd have a sense of style.

15.  Iʻm pretty intuitive and it usually helps me a lot when making friends.

16.  I have extremely crooked curved fingers and I blame swimming for them.

17.  Iʻm secretly a go-go dancer but only at home, by myself, in front of the mirror.

18.  Duck Dynasty cracks me up but is also relatable on a close family level.

19.  I hate living in a city, Iʻm used to big open natural space.

20.  I am a Native Hawaiian!
